The course is divided into three main sections:
I.personal care (how to take care of self, nutrition, skin care, time management, self-image,etc)
II. community (what is philanthropy, community service and volunteer work, leadership, personal "hero", etc)
III. practical (sewing, gardening, repurposing of recycled objects. ...)
There will be many projects to complete during the course of the year with a focus on building a garden space in the LU grounds! From seeds, to seedlings, to plants, to flowers/fruits/vegetables/herbs, we'll move our bodies, and extend our senses, while learning the curriculum.
Perhaps there are some parents out there who are interested in building and tending the garden with us? Of course we also hope our parents will share their recipes and palettes for meals, teas, fresh desserts and things as yet unknown. Talk to Ms. Lora if you have time and are interested in participating in the garden aspect of our curriculum this school year.
